I found this picture of the Owl and the Pussycat on a website with the poem on it. I could not find the artist who had drawn it unfortunately, but I really like it so will use it anyway!
This was the initial picture which I then stuck down to the piece of metal copper. I then used the metal saw to gently cut round each of the lines. To get to the more tricky lines I used the jewellery drill. The drill was very easy to use but threading the extremely fine saw blade though the hole to then tighten into my saw was very very difficult and saw many many blades snap at this stage. By the end, however, I was a blade ninja and managed to use my knee to balance the weight of my metal while one hand pressed the saw into the desk and the other tightened the top peg. Gah the stress.
Work in progress...
